Last year was one of the best seasons I've ever had. Started off with deep snow at Skibowl, making lines possible that aren't skiable most years. Midway through, we got an unusually big storm in Portland. Finished off with some classic spring sidecountry jumping at T-line. Thanks to everyone that skied, filmed, and made last year awesome. Every season is great, but I'll remember this one for a long time.

I would of liked to work on this project a little more, but my computer crashed. This is the best backup I had.

It felt good to get back out in the cold streets with the boys and see if I still had it.

Tokyo Snow Drift - Japan Ski Film

by Unaffiliated
Oct 2023 - 710 views

The daily Japan ski itinerary: Enjoy fresh tracks in the morning, ramen and a Sapporo for lunch, ski bottomless pow stashes in the afternoon, don the headlamps for night tree skiing, soak in the onsen, attempt to use google translate to order your gyoza and pork katsu dinner, more Sapporo, laugh at Japanese TV commercials, Bed. Repeat for 2 weeks straight. Don't crash the Hiace, drive to as many ski resorts in Hokkaido, and make sure to stop at the cities for fresh sushi, arcade, snow sculptures, and night clubs.

Please enjoy the edit!

FULL SEGMENT RELEASE

by Matchstick
Nov 2022 - 698 views

In this exclusive full segment from "Anywhere From Here" Mark Abma and Lucas Wachs meet up with legendary surfers Mathea Olin and Kalum Temple for the trip of a lifetime: Surfing and skiing in the same location on Vancouver Island British Columbia. This segment was a crowd favorite on tour, and it's easy to see why.

Abma sums up this "unicorn of a trip" perfectly:

"To score good snow, good waves and clear skies on Vancouver island within a short timeline required the stars to align. We saw a day and a half of sun in the long term forecast and we then decided to pull the trigger. When we arrived the day and a half of sun in the forecast increased to 4 days of sun!
Asides from Google earth, we had no beta on skiable terrain so this was an exploratory trip which added to the level of complexity. We ended up finding great terrain with the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop. The swell also came in and @mathea_olin and @kalum.temple shredded some great waves while @wachstavision and I rode some mellow waves."

Dimmu Topptur

by tryggsamlind
Oct 2022 - 693 views

Dimmu Topptur is the two year rock'n'roll big-mountain ski film project of myself (Trygg Lindkjølen) and Christopher Lange. It features powder skiing, big- mountain charging, zero informative dialogue, and an all-original rock soundtrack made by myself, specifically for the film. (And Christopher made the soundscaping for the intro on his synth).

We made a deliberate decision to make this film as a passion project, with zero budget, so that we would have full creative control on how it turned out. Both of us were working more or less full time jobs for most of the filming of this movie, and we pretty much spent all of our free time these two winters filming.

I would also like to point out that with the exception of some of the powder runs in the first segment, all of the runs in the film are accessed by foot. The whole film is filmed in the Sogndal and Sunnmøre regions of western Norway, and most of the shots are filmed with phones and lightweight drones, making us an effective and lightweight two-person production team in the mountains.

Big thank you to everyone who helped make this happen, and a big thank you to our sponsors:
Vertical Playground
Atomic
Woolf Merino

Hope you like it!:)
