Started out being a beautiful day skiing with the boys. Then a small slide popped on me. Never let your guard down on mellow terrain. Slides dont have to be big and gnarly to put you on the couch.
I decided to throw together a little edit of my season to pass the time. Shoutout to BaseNZ.com, License to Chill, SnoWorld Sports, MFC Syndicate and all the homies for making this winter one for the books!
All of the skiing footage is from the 2017 NZ winter and was plucked straight from my phone camera roll.

Overwhelmed with the hyper-connectivity of the modern world, a group of friends embark on a journey to Japan in search of snow and good times – a quest to find and experience the ever-fabled “moment”.
Chronicling a trip to Japan made by a small group of friends, this enviro-social documentary aims to question our dependence on technology and it’s affects on future outdoor and social engagement.

Trip to Montana last year with a small group of Gilson homies. We had a good time.
An ankle injury in October and full time engineering classes made for a rough beginning to my season. Luckily I was able to bounce back in time to find some incredible terrain throughout Wyoming and Montana!
Sup NS, first time uploader here. Check out my 18/19 season edit. Let me know what ya think.

I asked NS how to make a better edit, you can see that thread here-https://www.newschoolers.com/forum/thread/922040/How-do-I-make-a-better-edit-
Then, taking those tips I tried to make my shitty skiing look better. How'd I do?
This December 30th, I tore my Achilles tendon ending 27th consecutive months of skiing (which to accomplish, I did some skiing with a grade 2 MCL tear). Here is the trailer to a Go Pro edit (coming soon) from those 27 months. Looking forward to skiing again soon!
I'd like to give Rossignol a shout out for providing me with all the gear I beat on!

This week's Segment Saturday is a special one. "The most dangerous man in skiing", aka Aaron McGovern, is celebrating his 50th birthday! To celebrate, we pulled out this iconic segment from 2000's "Ski Movie I". Gov's skiing was full throttle, all the time. This segment is certainly no exception to that.

Filmed during a two-week trip to Idaho in February of 2023, ’LARRY’ is a short film featuring the backcountry skiing prowess of Chris Logan and Jonah Williams. Early mornings, deep snow, cloudy days, sunny days and colorful nights are a few of the collected memories from this trip.

A bubble of friends relieve their q-tine boredom by venturing to the side country during the shutdown in Colorado. Shortly upon the resort closures, the snow kept dumping. In the first few weeks, Loveland Pass became a circus when hundreds of people flocked to the easily accessible back country-feel zone from all over. This resulted in the governor closing the pass, so the crew eased away after some good days and dug into the side of a small mountain in summit county for a week, then made a few climbs up Keystone and Breck before uphill-access was closed for the year. There isn’t much else to do when you live in a resort town and everything is closed, but we kept busy with the help of some shovels, shuttle cars, skins/snowshoes and a little bit of determination.
"You know, even though I've skied half way around the world, I've somehow managed to ski the same chairlift for most of my life. It's not that I don't like other chairlifts. And it's not that I don't like hiking. It's just that this is home. It's where my heart lives. And no matter how hard I try to leave, my heart keeps coming back. The Skyline Chairlift will forever hold its place in my heart.
And now I have the honor of giving that gift to my son..."
