Kye and crew are back with another heater in The Sacred Grounds series, presented by MARKER! Part 4 'Descension' is stacked with the biggest spine lines and mid-line tricks we’ve seen yet in this series, enormous landscapes unique to the southern coast mountains of BC and a narration with a fresh view on preserving adventure in hopes of concealing info of exact locations to leave unknowns for future generations to explore. Filmed over 3 days in the backcountry of Pemberton BC and Squamish valley on big walls and spine zones full of heavy sluff, steep runnels and a touch of exposer. Get ready, sit back and enjoy the ride into more Sacred Grounds.

I recently blew my knee so I decided to put together a small pow edit from Japan this past February to remember all the good times.

For some time, I have been playing with the idea of producing a powder project.
Last season, together with photographer Michael Fasching, I worked on a project called #betweenthetrees. It was just a photoshooting.
The primarily positive feedback on this project motivated us to continue working on projects like that one. This is how we got the idea for Between the Trees 2.0.
The motto of my employer Blue Tomato, “Work hard, ride harder”, gave me the idea to combine these aspects, work and leisure, in Between the Trees 2.0.
Together with Nico Schmidt (a filmmaker from Schladming), and Michael Fasching (former photographer of Blue Tomato) I found the fitting creators for the project. So therefore, we decided to realise the project in season 18/19.
Lucky for us, the New Year started with massive snow falls. The perfect conditions for shooting Between the Trees 2.0.
After countless hours on the mountain and behind the computer, we were able to finalise the project.

The Common Thread: Ep 3 // B.C. -> MT
In the midst of a tough semester at MSU, spring break showed promise of deep snow in the Great White North so we packed up and send it to Nelson B.C., when we arrived we were met with a week of rain, snow, friends and 18+ bars. Back in Montana it was a wild spring with everything from deep snow to warm spring days. We were able to get the camera out for a few days and capture some of the debauchery and this is the result.

This past 2020/21 season was definitely one of the best I've ever had. So many amazing spots, with amazing new friends.
I was able to travel and film so much I'm beyond thankful.

Yew! Ski season is almost in full swing here in PA, at least I hope. I had a slew of computer issues, lost projects, footage, corrupted files, etc. I gave up for awhile in making the the last episode for the 21/22 season.
