Every year i travel from flat Belgium to the mountains. Last year i spend the whole season in my camper around Tirol ( Austria).
A buddy visited me at the end of April and shot this little ski docu about skitouring, freeride, camperlife and making choices.
It is not skiing but it is something that almost every skier enjoys: Powder Surfing. Here we go with the Second part of Sanctuary.

In January winter finally showed up. After few snowless seasons the snowfall arrived just for the time when all the lifts were shot down due to pandemic. We put all the efforts to use the conditions. Lot of hiking, some painful slams, but anyway it was worth it.
Dennis Ranalter had a year to remember in his debut season filming with Matchstick. This guy really does it all. His style and versatility landed him the title of 2023 "Breakout Skier of the Year" at iF3. Check out this full extended cut from Anywhere From Here and it's easy to see why!

All these clips are filmed on an iPhone in one afternoon.
The film is about the mountain guide Stefan Palm and his son Max one of the world’s best free ride skiers. For three days we follow father and son in their search for the perfect ride under the midnight sun. From the base camp on the Gouda Glacier, between Abisko and Kebnekaise, they are looking for powder snow on Kåtotjåkka 1991 m MSL.
”Hemma i Bergen” captures their relationship and how they view skiing and a life in the mountains. Max, who is at the beginning of his skiing career, the new world champion in the Freeride Junior World Championship, and Stefan with a lifetime of experience of skiing from all corners of the world, get some rare days together. Father and son.
