Intuition Liners Downhill Wrap HD Liner 2025 Review

I love these things. I upgraded from the Pro Wrap that comes with K2 Flex boots, which from the outside appears pretty similar to the Intuition Downhill Wrap. But you can instantly feel the extra power the Downhill HD adds to the boot. The Original Shell K2 Flex fits me better than any other boot out there, so it's my go-to, but I want to add power and performance to it where I can. The Intuition Downhill HD is a big part of that, stiffening up the feel both laterally and fore/aft. As I've gotten a bit older, I've started to value a carving day as much as anything, and that's where these make all the difference. Given my starting point of soft boots, along with Booster Straps, they add that extra control on edge that I've been looking for.

For the sake of experimenting, I remolded them and shoved them in my pair in my definitely too-big Phaenom FRs for a day and they did a solid job of taking up more volume. I think I'd want the 15mm thickness for those boots but these definitely improved the fit over the stock liner, and I just prefer how a wrap liner feels too.

I like that with the new lineup, Intuition has added a bunch of small touches to make these feel extra premium too. There's velcro on the back of the calf, ready for attaching boot shims and the new liners have a grippy tread on the bottom too. That's a bonus when walking around the lodge in just liners and also means there is no movement at all of the liner inside the boot. In short, Intuition has taken a good thing and made it better, distilling all the best features of their liners into what feels to me to be the perfect liner. - @Twig
