The Rab Khroma Converge W setup we were sent is a seriously nice piece of kit. Some testers weren’t the biggest fans of the Red/Blue combo, park rats like their earth tones if we’re honest, but the kit itself got rave reviews. It’s a little higher end than the Diffuse kit the men were sent and you can feel the difference in the little details.

The Jacket has all the features you would expect and comes with a slightly burlier feel and construction than the Diffuse, as well as a more unique and interesting cut. It’s also Gore-Tex lined but a little bit heavier than the Diffuse. With that, it gains a more bombproof feel. It has a TON of pockets, including four zippered chest pockets for flexible storage of just about anything and of course drop-in mesh and pass pockets too. It has notably nice adjustment details and wrist gaiters. In all this is a deluxe resort/backcountry hybrid jacket.
The pants feature the same construction and are clearly built to last. The ankle zippers are notably extensive so you can open them way up. The vents are massive too, meaning you can get tons of airflow into these, although the pants are very breathable as it is. There are burly kick patches to stop your skis from cutting up the gaiters and all in all, the pants are just as much a cut above as the jacket. The only downside is we didn’t find a beacon pocket.
Who’s it for? This is a deluxe resort kit that would happily do some backcountry riding too. More than anything it feels like it would last you year after year, we were super impressed by how tough this kit felt. As a bonus, the fluorocarbon-free Gore-Tex liner makes these a more planet-friendly option too. Realistically, more people should buy Rab because the product is banger.

Fit Guide:
These have a slightly relaxed fit even if you go true to size. For anything approaching baggy, size up 1-2 sizes. Use that belt loop for your Capeesh belt and you’ll be golden. Maybe just shoot for a more neutral color combo…
