2024 Armada Outerwear Ski Gear
Armada turns 20 years old this year, and they've come a long way since the days of THAT photo, from offering one ski to a diverse line-up covering everything from groomers to backcountry expeditions. Armada is now the first name on people's lips when they think of freestyle skis and they've been stepping up their outerwear game year after year too. For their 20th anniversary, they're offering a throwback collection, harkening back to their founding days, featuring retro styles brought up-to-date with modern tech, but some very early 2000s price points.
Our personal favorites are the Trec Jacket and Pants, which ooze early-2000s style and frankly, just look sick. We're going to go out on a limb and say these make for one of the best-looking setups of the year, full stop.
The Utility Jacket is another piece packed full of classic Armada essence, recalling Mike Hornbeck & Phil Casabon in their prime, crushing it in Level 1 movies and starring some of the classic projects of freeski history.
Several pieces in the collection have all-gender fits and styling, including the Trec line and Team pants, something that has become a cornerstone of Armada's brand direction in recent years. As with the ARV and ARW ski series, which feature identical construction but with different topsheets, the brand is offering something for everyone. For us, this is the cleanest outerwear collection we've seen from Armada to date, with several instant classics among the line, check out more on the individual fits below, and for more check out the whole throwback collection here.

The original track jacket just broke the world record with the Trec Jacket. The off-hill style is apparent, but the the under-the-radar on-hill functionality is off the charts with a PFC-Free DWR, pit zips, zippered chest and handwarmer pockets, internal media pocket and a pass pocket, and a cord lock at the hem.
The perfect companion to the Trec Jacket, the Trec Pants are made of the same 100% polyester with a PFC-Free DWR coating. An adjustable belt built into the waist, along with zippered right back, handwarmer and thigh pockets and an internal shock cord at them hem max out the on-hill, off-hill versatility.
