"I really liked the Daymakers Classic and I expect these to remain my choice of setup for touring at least for the next couple of years. In my mind, they’re the best solution for advanced skiers to get into touring for an affordable price. I recommend them for those who want to feel as comfortable as possible for charging down a mountain, buttering, backcountry jump sessions - you name it - after skinning up." - @Dr.Zorko
The DAYMAKERS CLASSIC are the product that started it all! This universal adapter system enables you to use your existing downhill boots, bindings, and skis to go touring. It is built from high-end components featuring stainless steel to ensure a long lasting, rust free life, combined with glass filled Nylon linkages for weight reduction.
Thanks to the innovative 4-Bar Tech motion system, you can ski tour comfortably and efficiently in downhill boots and bindings. This linkage system creates a virtual pivot point located within the boot’s shell, at the ball of your foot (not in front of your toes), for supreme ergonomics and comfort when using boots without a walk mode. Contrary to frame bindings, the adapter system leaves the bulk of your ski binding weight, and adapter, on your ski while you glide across the snow, rather than picking up an entire ski binding on every single step. This makes going the distance easier.
On flat terrain like approaches, ridge lines, or even mellow descents, the -3° neutral stance of the Daymakers counters the forward lean built into boots and bindings for a comfortable, upright stance, even with non walk-mode boots. When the going gets steeper there are 7° and 12.5° elevators that can be quickly deployed with your hand or ski pole using the Easy Levers.
