"I’m really impressed with how well the Daymaker TEKDAPTERS performed. They’re built well, provide a lot of flexibility, and seem to be even more solid than their predecessor. At $279.99 USD, they provide the most affordable entry to reliable touring for those with tech fittings in their boot.
If you’re just getting into touring, tour resorts outside of normal operating hours, or are looking for an option that allows you to get out into the side-country or backcountry where you rely on having a solid alpine binding for hitting booters, big hits, or charging down the mountain, I can’t recommend these enough.
I will be recommending them to others for general touring use. I will even see myself keeping these around to utilize more of my quiver for shuttle laps on Teton Pass and sled skiing." - @erica
New for the 23/24 season, the TEKDAPTERS enable you to use your existing downhill skis & bindings with a pin boot to go ski touring.
With 3 years of development and testing, we managed to load this adapter full of features - all while achieving a weight of just 530g. The TEKDAPTERS from DAYMAKER TOURING have been thoughtfully designed and meticulously engineered at every level to be lightweight, dependable, and easy to use for years and years of service.
To achieve the most feature-loaded adapter ever at the lightest weight, every detail of TEKDAPTERS serves function. How did we do it? The simple answer is that from 2020-2022, Daymaker engineers Chris Trunek and Giray Dadali tore a total of 3 Achilles Tendons between the both of them, giving them a lot of time behind a computer to make this product.
At the front of the adapter, the TEKLOCK interface is easily operated and adjusted via a glove friendly quick release lever system. The shaft of the quick release system doubles as a mounting point for TEKDAPTERS Crampons (coming soon)
The SOLE SYNC system makes sizing the adapter to match your boot a breeze thanks to a similar glove friendly quick release system. An adjustable AFD pad on the bottom of the TEKDAPTER accounts for variances in different boot sole thicknesses and binding models to ensure a rigid boot-to-ski interface, even as your boot wears down.
Further customize your TEKDAPTERS to your boots by tying off the internal top out cord to deploy to your exact boot sole length every time. The telescoping tubes of the SOLE SYNC system can be cut just like ski poles to further reduce packed size for smaller boot sizes.
At the tail end of the TEKDAPTERS, The innovative new PITCH SWITCH riser system makes adjusting to different terrain easier than ever. It is spring loaded to effortlessly snap between a slightly negative neutral stance, a high rise, and a medium rise position. Traction ribs and Field Goal Guide Rails at every position center the heel of the boot and prevent slipping for excellent edge grip on traverses. Hydrophobic materials with polished gloss finishes are utilized in key locations to prevent ice and snow buildup. The open, ported design of the cam mechanism ensures ice and snow can be mechanically ejected each time the PITCH SWITCH is cycled. This ensures trouble free operation in the deepest and most packable snow conditions.
