The K2s 2022 family of skis is a formidable one. The key elements remain largely the same as previous years, although the Reckoner series has had one hell of a visual makeover, with the 102s really standing out. The old-school, loud graphics really pop, and the series as a whole harkens back to the days of the Hellbent and Domain. A Reckoner 92 has been added to the lineup, although this is designed as a youth/beginner park ski from K2 rather than a full-fledged adult ski.
With a stacked team backing them, the lineup certainly gets pushed to its limits. Riders like Colby Stevenson and Ferdinand Dahl use the Poacher as their weapon of choice in comps. The Reckoner 102 has become the daily driver for most though, including the likes of style gods Joona Kangas and Isaac Simhon (@ez_pvnda). Loved for its surfy feel and balanced flex, this mid-fat park ski is going to see you through most days on the hill. Joona, seen below with a textbook handplant on the Reckoner 102, said this about the skis:
"The Reckoner 102 is my favorite because of its playfulness. From street spots to slushy spring jumps, that's my top choice as an all-around ski."
Don't just take Joonas words for it; at last year's ski test the Reckoner 102 was awarded Best Of Test meaning it's got the Newschoolers stamp of approval. For more detailed information on the ski, read @Twig 's In Depth Roofbox Review Of The Reckoner 102: Click Here

The Reckoner Series also has 112mm and 122mm waist options for deeper days. Karl Fostvedt has found himself right at home on these in the last few seasons. For slashing turns in pow and spinning off natural hits the Reckoner 112 and 122 provide a wide, playful platform with freestyle DNA. Both the 102 and 112 have been Newschoolers favorites of recent years, and we're sure the 122 would be up there too, if only we skied somewhere with enough snow to justify them.

122mm underfoot skis have been an excellent canvas for K2 designers over the years, the Hellbent (before it became 132mm) was a perfect example. Brad Walters, a Newschoolers regular, designed the unique topsheets for the eye-catching Reckoners this year.
"Each year we aim to tell a story with the graphics. For this year’s Reckoners we turned towards music and the different types of enjoyment that you can get from it. For the 102 in particular we wanted to create a ski with a good vibe that reminded you of hanging out in a warm, soggy park with your friends."
The mushroom design on the 102mm Reckoner was spawned from this original sketch:
