Bollé Torus with Volt Lens 2022 Review

I've been using the new Volt lens from Bollé for a week now. Mine are in a pair of Talent sunglasses and I am thoroughly impressed by the quality of the new product. On the face of it, these lenses aren't as fancy as some, they don't change in opacity to adapt to light conditions for example. But from the beach to the mountain, I have never felt anything but totally comfortable with these lenses. They don't seem particularly 'dark' but I have never had any issues with glare or discomfort despite having sensitive eyes. And not feeling the immediate need to take them off while driving into a tunnel or transitioning into a patch of shade is a bonus. The optical clarity is impressive too, you have that instant feeling of a high-quality product when you put them on. - @Twig

The Torus is Bollé's first goggle to feature the new Volt lens technology which combines the benefits of cylindrical and spherical lenses to minimize distortion and glare while optimizing fog management and frame valuation.

Design benefits of the goggle itself include a maximized field of vision coupled with greater airflow due to increased volume to reduce fogging.

Volt Lens Technology

Using AI, Bollé set out to discover which wavelengths of light to enhance or dampen to maximize visual performance and comfort on the mountain. Using that data, we then designed and developed chemical compounds (pigments) to absorb the right wavelengths to achieve precisely that. We put together a perfect blend of pigments for the transmission curve we wanted to achieve and the result is a brand new lens, called Volt, that is unlike anything currently on the market.
