The 2021 Root Anorak
I've been rocking this one all summer and I'm a big fan. Super simple, stylish and good quality. The Root anorak isn't insulated but it still has a little warmth to it from the heavy oxford fabric, so for temperatures around the 0 degree (celsius) mark, I've just been wearing a longsleeve underneath. The fabric also seems to be really tough. I've slid down a couple of rails on my chest/back and it's holding up nicely. The fleece lined collar keeps you cozy if you zip it up the whole way, and definitely looks great worn down. I love the FW approach of simple colours and clean cut design. The only downside with this is it fits kind of loose at the waist and there's no powder skirt/drawstring. Without bibs, you'd end up getting pretty snowy in crashes or pow. I wear them with the Manifest bibs though and have no issues in bounds. I still probably wouldn't take it on a pow day though. I highly recommend the Root Anorak for park days and for inbounds shredding in something that looks clean cut and holds up great. - Twig
