Newschoolers' Quick Review:
Although they are marketed as stiffer, to me, the generous rocker makes the 4.0 feel softer and more playful than the 3.0. They do a good job of being surfy and still carve well. For the size they are super light and handle variety much more easily than previous versions (pre-16/17). They are also decently poppy to ollie and stable on landings. For me they are still less fun and less easy to ski than the Magnum Opus but the win significantly on chargeability. And of course, like almost all fat skis these days, they float great. If you're in the market for a versatile, jibby, fat ski, these should definitely be in the picture. - Twig
