Newschoolers' Quick Review: The Guardian is a great binding for someone who is just getting into touring and doesn't want to invest in a full tech setup. It works as both an in-bounds alpine binding and it's easy to switch between walk mode/ downhill mode by just the pull of a level. I skied this binding on my main ski for 150+ days and would say the biggest downfalls are its weight (it's one of the heaviest bindings on the market), the lever that switches to walk mode can get frozen and be difficult to pull, and there's a bit of wiggle when riding downhill. Overall, it's a reliable binding and a great introductory tool for those new to touring. -erica
