Newschoolers' Review of the Kulkea Micro Pack:
"On first glance, I honestly wasn't sure what I was going toput in the pack. But after a full season of using it, I am pleasantly surprised with how versatile it is and how much it actually holds. The Micro Pack is designed for those quick adventures where all you need are the basics- water, snacks, a layer, and other personal items. The front of the pack holds a skinny water bottle on one side and another mesh spot for something of similar size on the other. [Note: Camelbak bladders or Nalgene-sized bottles don't fit in the pack]. When I'm hiking or biking, I put water on one side and bear spray or a spare tube on the other. Moving up from the mesh outer pocket there are two main pockets attached to the bulk of the bag, one is accessible from the front and the other from the back. Each can fit items like granola bars, sunscreen, emergency tools, or a small camera. The flap of the pack that folds down to buckle down contains two more pockets. The top pocket is perfect for carrying sunglasses in the summer, or a change of goggles or goggle lenses in the winter. Finally, the front outer pocket is pretty small, but is great for sneaking a wallet, phone, keys, or securing other essentials. The aforementioned flap then clips to the rest of the pack, and under it you can secure an extra layer- it's a perfect compartment for either storing or shedding a light jacket when I'm out and about. The Micro Pack is perfect for the person who just needs to fit a few more things in their pockets but doesn't want to lug around a huge pack all day. It really is so light that you barely notice it's there, and your belt will thank you for all the items that aren't crammed into the pockets of your pants." -Erica
