Newschoolers' Review:
The ARV 116 JJ replaces the JJ & JJ 2.0 for 2018 and I see no issue with the decision, it's certainly an upgrade more than anything. The 116 is a phenomenal ski, especially great for the park kid who wants to get jibby in the pow like THall or the dad who wants to have a more surfy style to their skiing in deep snow. - Kretzschmar
Characteristics: Stiff, pow oriented, nimble, playful
Manufacturer's Description:
In the third generation of the iconic JJ, we've taken everything we've learned about the interaction between taper and rocker and applied it to this ski. The contact point was moved behind the ski's widest point for the first time to give more consistent turn initatiation than seen in previous Elf shoe builds. AR75 sidewall construction provides improved edge pressure, and a new 3d base combines the advantage of no-catch edges with the durability of a steel-built full edge wrap. It all adds up to the ultimate backcountry freestyle tool and the next evolution of the game-changing powder-riding legend.
