Newschoolers' Quick Review:
The new iteration of the Dollo is... almost exactly like the old one to be honest. A softer tail means the skis feel slightly more balanced despite the rockered nose and cambered tail. And they still have a decent degree of torsional stiffness compared to other jib noodles like the Line Blend. The new edges are slightly fatter (though still not as thick as I'd like to see) and the new core, with its full-length ash stringers provides more energy on takeoffs and on the exit of butters. They are still basically a jib noodle though and the even softer tail means they aren't the as well suited to big jumps as they were before, despite what the pros might have you thinking. They are, however, far superior to heavily tail rockered skis like the Vishnu Wet/ON3P Magnus. What they are, however, is a shitload of fun to play around and despite being worse in most conditions than the ARV 96, I love them. -Twig
