I decided to build myself a portable alluminum rail. Here's what I ended up with.
The rail breaks down into 2 major sections that are 5' 5" long and the 4 legs simply slide into the sockets on the bottom. The two sections connect with a short adapter that I welded. The top of the rail is coated in a hard plastic that is attatched via counter sunk screws.
