I decided to head out to Glen Eden today to check it out for the first time! I was pretty stoked after hearing all the great things about the terrain park and the cheap ass lift prices! Upon arrival the first thing I noticed were the thousands of cars jammed into this massive parking lot which gave me a clear indication that this place was busy as FUCK! After parking about a mile away from the entrance, putting on my ski boots, grabbing my skis, I headed off to the slopes. Right at the end of the parking lot your faced with this massive ass walkway across the train track. You can either walk up 4 flights of stairs of wait for this slow mother fucking elevator that comes every 5 minutes. After trekking for what felt like an eternity i finally arrived to the slopes. Right away it was clear that Glen Eden was GAPER CENTRAL...filled with your typical definition of a gaper...This resulted in the lift stopping every 5 seconds making a 200 ft lift feel like you're off to Whistlers summit! The snow which is obviously the most important was shit. Shit describes the "snow" perfectly, even though it seemed more like slush...The snow looked and felt like it hadn't been groomed for a while...by a while I mean maybe they groomed that shit last season...EVEN with all the snowfall that Ontario has seen this season so far, there were still the occasional muddy and grassy patches.
SO, besides the terrain park which has decent features and respectable snow. Glen Eden is defensively going to be my back up plan in future. Save your money and save your eyes from the horror and head somewhere else
Douces!!
