Gosh guys, I'm sorry for being such an asshole for showing a video of a new product that many people will actually find useful in skiing.


Because as you know, these threads are a dime-a-dozen and do not compare at all to the quality threads that ask what (insert company name here) clothing that (insert skier's name here) is wearing in (insert edit/segment name here).

probably has little to no breathability, but could be useful for boot liners especially when it's spring and the pond skims are abundant!

I'm thinking more along the lines of spraying it on the top sheets, boot shells, ski pant cuffs and bindings so your shit stays dry for when you're done skiing and you never have to worry about it when you store them away or have to put them in your car when leaving the resort.

not sure it would work. the wax melts the snow in to water, which makes it glide.. if you used this i dont think that would happen.

Nope. Friction melts the snow. Because base material is "hydrophobic" your skis glide on top.
I think somebody should try this now.

Outerwear is rubbed and flexed quite a bit. This coating is not ductile and its mechanical integrity will deteriorate rapidly. Pray the nanoscale size particles that emanate from this do not enter your body; their lifetime is >10000 years. Inb4 cancer. This stuff will work great for objects that experience very little mechanical movement. But idgaf, flip flop niggas depend on how each other look.

Anybody ever tried soaking something in rain-x? It'd be the same idea, making it super hydrophobic.
Also, I put rain-x on my topsheets last spring and it worked quite well. It just didn't last very long at all.

bought this yesterday it works well but it leaves a bluish frost look on materials and gives a chalky feel. I sprayed it on my shoes top sheet of skis backpack camo hat and bathing suit works so sick

1) If you put this on a jacket, you will sweat A LOT
2) that shit is not durable at all and rubs off quite easily. We did some decent testing with hydrostatic bearings with this stuff hoping for frictionless bearings...
