Going to Timberline this summer. What to plan for?

So this is my first time doing a summer skiing trip. I plan on not enrolling in a camping session and just go up there to go ski and camp for a few days. I'll probably be going with a few friends.

Now, my question to you fellow NS'ers is what should I plan for, where should be the best places to camp, as well as what will the cost be for lift tickets?

Camp at the airstrip. Make friends with the people who have a place, showers are key.

Come on man, google is your friend. I'll highlight some things because I'm nice:

-Camp at the airstrip, look it up its near trillium
-buy food in sandy (about 30 minutes away) or bring your own. Govy is not always cheap
-Bring a ton of tarps and a waterproof tent, the weather here can be 80s and sunny one day and 45 with a downpour the next day.
-lift tickets are $55-$60, or $900 for a summer pass. you do the math to see which one you need.

This. Big gypsy scene at the airstrip. Go in July and there will be tons of people to bonfire, smoke and get drunk with.

Prepare for rain

Be friends with OCHO so you can ride the windells park

Ha yeah, definitely be prepared to deal with mostly penis.
And I wouldn't bother trying to ride Windell's park unless something changes. They have pass pulling ability now, and they weren't even letting other people's filmers in last summer. It's the reason the K2 summer school edits were all filmed in the public and MHSSC parks.

I have never been there in the summer, but many say it rains a lot in June. I'm going to MHSSC in june and praying for no rain, but it should still be fun.
So you should probably go after June, best guess.

The last few years its been wet in June but it isn't always like that. Some years theres a few days of wet weather in June, others its almost the whole month. May and June are transition months for the area so you never really know if you're going to get wet winter weather or warm summer weather.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing in a few days! I'm on a college budget, though, so I'm thinking about just hiking up to the public park and then hiking that all day... Any thoughts on how likely it is that I'll get kicked off the mountain?

You will probably get kicked out in less than an hour. They take it pretty seriously now (or so Ive heard), it's worth it to just buy a lift ticket, especially this early when they still have a bunch of snow.

So I talked to some local buddies and word is on the street that if you go the airstrip you make take the risk of getting your stuff stolen? Is this a real problem?

Just like anywhere, there are douche bags who steal shit. Ive heard a few stories of the airstrip having some thieves. Just take anything worth a lot in the car or have it locked in a car if you leave one behind for the day. ITs not a huge issue but yes people steal
