The "I'm not very good at this sport" Confession Thread
So I've been doing freestyle for 4 years. Everyone loves to talk about how good they are with these "edits" and things. I''m here to admit, to all of newschoolers that I suckkk. I don't really mind cause I'm still having fun, but its been 4 years and I only do 360s, off of 20 ft jumps max. And rail tricks, forget about it. FS 270 is about as far as I get.
I KNOW I'm not alone. This is safe place to admit your suckage.
Great thread OP. And yeah, conventianaly i suck dick, i'm pretty creative, but anything more than a seven is outta the question, rails are decent, but i suck pretty much
Haha same here, that and the fact the most days I've gotten in season in the past 5 years was 5...
But in all honesty if you can do flips on a tramp comfortably all you need is the right kicker and balls, that's it. When I first landed my first flat 5 I was not expecting to land it I was seeing what it's like and I came to the conclusion that it is the exact same as a trampoline. Kind of weird.
i cant too damn scared to do a simple 360 off a 30 footer, but ill 180 and switch 180 off of it. but ill do backflips off of small jumps and stuff all damn day.
Im not that good either..... I can do 3's but not that clean. I really want to try 5's but haven't gotten the balls yet. I have attempted multiple front flips but only landed 2. I also got the balls to try a 3 off a like 25' jump. It was so scary haha. Oh and I hate rails haha, I can only do boxes and a 360 on a box.
been park skiing since whenever I made this accout in 2006. Rails i can kfed, 4 out, and 2 on if im lucky. Usually never scared of any rails. Boxes I can do more on. Jumps I suck 360s on 20-25ft jumps, mostly just like doing 180s. I think switch 3s are easier than normal ones as long as I can switch 180 I can switch 3 the jump.
My favorite thing is just trying to slide really long/difficult rails. My favorite is an srail to dfd we set up. Took a good bit of hiking to finally get it, but it was fun.
I've been hurt a lot and I'm getting to the point of my life where I need to stay out of the hospital. I still like to go out and have fun with friends. I may throw a couple flips a year but I generally steer clear of metal things. I broke my leg on a rail so It may just be mental but I've tried learning rails and have done it a couple times but it's just not there anymore.
i say i'm pretty good in real life, but i cant cork seven and i have no style. it always seems that the moment you stomp something new is the moment that that thing you just stomped seems pretty fucking stupid.
while im confident i can ski trees, steeps, moguls, or a race course better than most of NS, im terrible at spinning over jumps and my best rail trick is a front 4.
ive skiied about 5 times and so far i can do 180s and and do rails. almost landed a couple 3's i tried some front and back 270s out and switch-ups. they hurt a lot. i can still snowboard pretty good though so theres that
deleted it a while ago. my friend posted it without telling me, it was of my first day in the park doing 1s and sliding half of a butter box on powder skis and an xxxxs jacket..trust me, im bad. i can barely 3 on a 30 footer, the 5's/occasional 7 is on tiny side jumps only..and my rail game is sloppy
