It was dope as fuck if it was created but Malcolm already said he would pretty much need to re-do a shit load of things to enable it. He started making Shredsauce with no clue about gaming let alone multi-player gaming. but yeah it would be sick.
Online comps set up kinda like online sit-n-go poker tournaments? find a game, wait till there are like 6 people and then throw down you runs, you could watch the others go as well. have a couple runs and award "money" to the winners for new skis and outerwear and stuff. I know it would be a long ways down the road but it would be SO SICK!!!
I feel like malcom could definitely take this to an indie game developer. Mojang possibly? they do some pretty go work with online games. I would definitely pay about 15 dollars for this game if it was improved with multiplayer and other things.
or... you have 6 people, and a random person or two would be selected to be a judge. everybody has to judge every 5 or 6 rounds just to keep it fair, and not spin to win only.
on that note, i would say this in the game thread but its already a million pages long so...
how difficult would it be to implement some sort of crash/restart physics? i would love to see some OG Dave Mirra BMX ragdoll-style bails and then restart at the top... would definitely be more interesting than rigor mortis to R-button
for those who are too young to know what i'm talking about, see below:
Well comps definitely would take time like people are saying. It wouldn't be easy to do. But I think there could still be a MP option where you can just sesh the park with other people. It would be like a real park. Plus from there you could always play SKATE on snow with buddies or something. Just an idea that I think is actually realistic for Malcolm at this point and still give us a sick MP option.
I was thinking about this the other day. Doesn't have to be too complex, just something simple like other Unity games where you have like 20 rooms that can hold X people. If you want to have a comp you could just get some people together and do it, or there could be more organized Comps at certain times everyday. It would definatly be sick though.
I would love to get some advertising space. I'l put money towards the development of the game, and I'll run a server off my computer that you would work on. PM me.
it would be cool, if he does it would be in a long time. to be honest im not sure why he didnt recruit a willing nser that knew alot about how to work with unity to assist him with the harder stuff like multiplayer.
It could fucking legit. Have private rooms. Have companies sponsor rooms/ features/ clothing/ skis and other stuff used in the game, have actual prizes.
what if there is bitch mode, where all you do is is stand at the top of the park giving hand jobs to 12 year old park rats under their tall t's? And you have money that works in the game so you can buy drugs and other ski related shit. What if you getting better at hand jobs and elevate to blow jobs on the chair and eventualy you unlock anal mode where if you stomp a trick hard enough, piss comes out your ass.
I always wondered what it would be like to have 5 different games, and split all the players online up into one of the 5. That Wat you would be able to see everyone throwing down, and people like waiting in line for the jumps. I personally think that would be sweet
Shredsauce still has a long way to go, we all know that but Malcolm is doing this on his own. It will take alot of time to make new grabs, maps, etc. There are several options:
1) We pay for the game so he can hire a 2nd guy.
2) Idk how this rlly works but he can release the code so other people can build maps, grabs, etc.
3) He just keeps doing it on his own because he likes doing it and he wants to make the game himself.
