How can i remove sticky label residue from plastic??

i just got my new wakeboard and it had a huge manifacturer sticker on the bottom, one of those real sticky ones. i ripped it off and now if some sticky shitty residue on the bottom. the bottom surface seems to be some plastic blend type surface (who has touched the bottom of a wakeboard knows what i am talking about) and i realy need to get it off. what house hold product will work for this?

if that doesn't work (lol jk it will work) then try hot water, rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover, and try scratching it off with knife-like objects.

rubbing alcohol, would probably work

if not, try acetone or whitespirit, both these substances can damage your board !! so use them very carefully, put a little on a cloth and clean off the residu, as soon as it's off, wipe your board with a wet towel to remove acetone/whitespirit ...
(^^ive done this on pretty much all my gear, if you're careful it won't damage it ...)

or if you want to play 100% safe, residu on smooth surfaces can also be removed by rubbing it with a pencil eraser or scrubbing it with a scotchbrite pad, warm water and soap ....

goo gone or i'm pretty sure those mr. clean magic erasers can remove labels too, with just water.

ok what kind of house hold cleaning products will work? cos i dont have nail polish remover seen as how i am not a chick. i got dish cleaner, window cleaner, toilet and bath cleaner, etc.

spray hot water on it, if that doesnt work then paint thinner im guessing. but rubbing alcahol should work just fine if you have it.

you can probably just use a paper towel for the acetone.

But if it's plastic you can just soak a wash cloth with hot water and then leave it on top for a few minutes and then rub the sticky stuff off. That's how I clean my mason jars.

put some on a cloth and rub it on the residu, wipe it off afterwards with a clean cloth ....

rub it off, the same way you would use a sponge to clean your pots and pans ...

don't be so scared about it dude, it's only a board, worst case if you do something horribly wrong you might end up with a little matte area on your board ...

Just rube some oil on it. Any kind should work. Lather it up and scrape it off.
