So AdamBskii had agreed to sell me his canon T3i for 300 dollars. I though it seemed cheap but he said he won it in a contest and he had pics with his name in them so I thought it seemed legit. So three days ago on November 15th I sent AdamBskii 300 dollars through paypal. He hasnt responded to the message I sent him upon paying, "just sent the money, check to make sure its in there, do you think you could priority ship it?" And hasnt been online since, Does anyone know this member?

ok well its only been 3 days since the 15 and its not his fault if he hasnt been online. for future advice, get a fucking phone number on a 300 dollar item. its common sense to be honest. if anyone does have some information, give it to this kid and than you can go from there.

^ what he said. give it a couple more days and if nothing happens we have some friends that helped in resolving a case involving sammyd23. so just chill for a bit, NS is the shit and watches each others back!

its his fault if hes been offline for 3 days after making a sale for 300 dollars. when im expecting money i check my newschoolers 10 times as much so that i can ship as soon as i receive the payment...

and you also shouldve gotten more information in the first place when getting a deal like that on a camera

yeah for sure, Its just quite unsettling that the night we worked out the deal, and I sent him the money, I never even got a response back after that, like he never even said yeah I got the money, but I know he has it. I'll wait a bit though. :/

quick question, did you send money as a gift or like an invoice? if it was an invoice you might be able to open a case against him. im not trying to bash you and its your like gharlam, some people do things differently. you're just a better seller than some probably

what happens if the guy immediately receives the funds and then transfers it out. where does paypal refund the money from if theres no money in the account?

Had this happen with some fuckhead on here a few years back. Bought some goggs and pants off him...shit ton of other people bought shit off him too... He didn't respond to shit for 2-3 weeks. Finally responded and sent shit out but sent the wrong fucking goggs.. I had already filed a claim.. and paypal sided with me.. but then they went to take the money back, his balance was $0, so paypal said there was nothing they could do.

On another note.. if you are gonna sell shit.. and accept money from someone, man the fuck up and ship it up... don't sit around saying you were out and couldn't get to the message and couldn't ship it.. fuck all that.. if you're busy, don't put the shit up for sale. 80% of us have smartphones and cant hop on NS mobile and paypal has apps.. shits easy..

I'm gonna go ahead and say, just open up a paypal claim just to try and get a hold on the money...better safe then sorry guy

Paypal no longer puts people's accounts at a negative balance and sends the winner of a claim the money. Paypal was sued a few years back for putting people's accounts to negative and sending them to collections. Part of the suit settlement was that they can send people to collections, but can no longer put someone's account at negative and 'front' the winner of the claim money.

If you wait to file a claim and he transfers the money out of his account - you're probably out of luck.

Also - to people who keep saying give it more time, give him the benefit of the doubt - this is why we're seeing a shit load of callouts lately. If you start having the expectations of quick, easy, straight forward deals - that's what happens. If you let kids be lazy, not ship, flake or give them the benefit of the doubt - people get ripped off.

To add a twist to this "to be shitstorm", I too purchased this T3i from AdamBskii. I sent him the money on 11/8 and he said he sent the camera on 11/13. He lives in Utah, so it should definitely have gotten here by now. On 11/16 I received a paypal refund from him. I sent him a message asking him why he sent me a refund and he did not respond yet. Dont know whats going on here, but it sure sounds sketchy. Have not received the camera, but at least I got my money back. Still interested in a T2i or T3i if anyone is interested in not ripping me off.

So I just opened a dispute on paypal, hopefully he responds and something can be worked out. Any other information on this guy would be much appreciated, I realize I should have gotten more info before sending money that was stupid on my part.

Im pretty sure he and his brother are one in the same because, apparently he makes deals with his brother to sell him hats on newschoolers. Then he writes in his brothers feedback about how great he is, and that he is super legit.

i think that whenever someone buys something in a BST thread, they should just post an "i bought this" or "sold to me" like sheldonskis did. that way, even if they got scammed, others in the future will see that the skis will have been "hypothetically" purchased and less people will be scammed...

i sent the money for the camera to Adam Burrow i think that the names he has for bothe accounts are fake. if payapal cant get the money back, maybe if we had access to IP addresses used on both accounts we may have a chance of finding where this guy lives. but im not sure how we could get his IP though.

^^ Great idea, seen it a few times and should happen a lot more.
Search him up on facebook and see if he has friends or family you can contact. I'd say refer to the sammyd23 case from last week and ask those guys on there to help you out if thats what it comes to. Just because this is over the internet shouldnt make him able to run and hide from shit like this.

Just got off the phone with a pay pal employee. He said that they are certainly going to go after this guy especially since hes taken 400 dollars from me and the fact that he has taken another 300. so hopefully we'll get our money back.

This guy is a dumb ass if you sell something on paypal over $250 payapl requires the seller to provide tracking information in order for the seller to take the money out of his account so im going to get my money back. and im guessing the same in true with sheldon.
