He means it in less of a literal sense, and is speaking more about pointless killing due to wars, religion, race, and other diferences.

You guys crack me up... It is Charlie Chaplin from the film "The Great Dictator" and was filmed during WW2, and was about a case of mistaken identity by which a Jewish Hairdresser ends up being mistaken for Hitler. Personally I think the combination with the Inception Soundtrack is a lot more emotive.

I liked that speech. I didn't necessarily agree with 100%, but it was a good speech. (Even if it was from a movie.




On a related a note, this is probably my favorite speech of all time. I try to listen to it at least once a week.
