How do i throw myself for a flatspin?

i can do rodeos and corks and back flips but i cant figure out how to get a flatspin consistently on my tramp. any advise?

throw your hand from back to front in a leftward motion if you spin left , same thing for right side except you go right , and really look over your shoulder the side you want to spin,

dont know if that makes sens to you ,
if not : throw a lincoln loop and look far over your shoulder the way you spin

Same as a rodeo except you throw your legs more to the side, they shouldnt go over your head (flatspin =/= inversion)

I know I'm going to get called out for this advice, but the easiest way to learn is probably starting by throwing a backflip and grabbing japan. Then keep tweaking it from there.

The way I always think about doing it is as you come off the lip of the jump, throw your back downhill and your legs up hill, as though you were lying flat in the air with your head facing downhill. You will naturally go a little inverted, but it wont be enough to make it a rodeo. The rotation for a 5 will just come around. Focus more on the spin and try to spin faster than you invert to make it a 7, etc.

Seriosly. youve been on NSers for 427 posts and you haven't learnt to use the searchbar? You think you're the first person to learn to flatspin. On a more helpful note wally did a wally wednesdays trick tip on flat 3's. Which i would post but im on mobile

Right knee to left nipple. Rodeo/Flatspin are the same, just inverted vs. non-inverted.

Pop super hard, drop your shoulder all the way to the right and backflip with your shoulder down like that, try to go for a japan grab with your arm

u want to throw yourself equally back and to the side. what i do while learning new tricks on the tramp especially if u have a net around it, is designate one direction as "downhill". then pick the poles that support ur net at different points of which to throw ur self towards. and for a flatspin swing ur feet up at the point in between "downhill" and to the side. once in the air twist ur shoulders so then ur chest is facing up. tuck for more spin.



** for the "point method", if u dont have a net tape or paint markings on the frame of the trampoline. trust me it can help soo much.

THIS. thats how i learned flat spins just reach for japan really early when throwing a back flip and yull get the feeling for um

He can already do rodeo, so going to backflips is the wrong way to approach this.

Pop, sit in the chair and reach for the left flag (if you spin left). When you realize you can't reach the flag, grab your skis instead. The biggest mental trick to is to make sure you look AROUND your shoulder on a plane. If you look back, it's going to be hard to break your habit of throwing rodeo.

Flat spin is a spin. Back flip is a flip. There is a 90 degree difference between the two.

These aren't similar at all.

Yes, but grabbing for japan helps you bring a backflip into more of a flat 3.

i have a really strange way of learning flatspins, but it worked for me and a few of my buddys: first, do a few 180 while landing on your back. Imagine turning these around to flatspins later so that you get a little bit of a afeeling for it. when youre comfortable doing this, try throwing a japan grab in there. so after youve done a lot of those, just try to do a straight non cork non flatspin 540 with a japangrab in it and you will immediately go into flatspin. no idea why this is happening, but worked for me and my friends.

Step #1! Approach the lip

Step#2! Throw yourself like your the BAW$$

Step#3! Grab Japan like it's your job!

Step#4! Spot the landing!

Step#5 Stomp like your the BAW$$!!!

stop being an asshole to him, jeez, you got mad just because he didn't search bar something and because he has 427 posts? what if he had already tried that and i'm assuming he did because he can do other tricks just not this one. and nothing he has seen or heard so far has worked. don't get all pissy because he didn't search bar and stop taking up your time to be an ass to him and the whole newschoolers community. your looking like an ass and stop.

I know how to rodeo... Im working on my rodeo 10 like im not new to tramping or skiing, and I can do flatspins but when i do its by mistake when trying to do underflips. What I want to know is how to throw my body and where to turn my head so that I can get consistent and comfortable enough to start doing them on skis.
