quick question, will the beachtek work on dlsr's? never really heard of it being used on them before, thanks dude.

They do make a DSLR one now which is 350.,. But i've used this one on dslr's before.  Works the same.  Just plugs into a 3.5mm jack

Nope. requires no batteries.  I've just been using phantom mics.
