Im think I found it not sure tho. type in alta. grab the alta UT. go about the mountain about 3/4. Then zoom out a bit and go to the right. And it looks like a bright yellowy orange.
it's called chad's cause chad zurinskas was the first to realize the gap, and it's been one of skiing's most famous gaps since. candide thovex did a big mute over it in 99 or 2000 when he was like 16, then the next year (i think) he did a dpsin 7. some other cool tricks were thrown over it but then jon olsson and tanner hall hit it in 2005 (06? i think it was 05) for the sole purpose of hitting it switch, jon did a sw180 and narrowly missed some sickass switch misty 9s (but it was all left out of teddybear crisis, the movie they were shooting for, supposedly so as not to take away from tanner's footage) and tanner did some nasty switch 5s and switch cork 9s. but then he came up short on another sw cork 9 and broke the fuck out of his ankles (see youtube video below). right after that, alta ski patrol tried to blow up the jump they made cause they didnt want anyone else injuring themselves on that bad larry.
this thread is nearly impossible to ask cause there's a famous thread on here where these kids made a thread asking how to get to chad's from the bottom of alta, and everyone hated on them for a long time saying "you can't just hit chad's" and stuff about locals being territorial, but sure enough the dudes hit chad's on their vacation and did some front flips and shit over it and placed everyone's feet in their mouths. that and the attempt to blow up the jump after tanner hit it have been riffed on over and over, and the "ski patrol blew it up" part has been intentionally and unintentionally turned into people arguing over whether they blew up the jump, or the gap itself (which makes no sense of course, cause that would just make it bigger) etc etc etc
