Well, i have the JJ's and they are great everywhere, I really like them and i would recommended them as a everyday ski. I cant help you much, since i dont push them too their limit. Im a good skier but not the best one on the moutain, so i can say how they perform in variable condition and hard charging, and what not.
But since you want to do competiton on them, i would say buy the 195 JJ, They are stiffer, but the 185cm are good if the 195cm are to big.
Like said above, the s7 will be a nice option.
5'6 140lbs here!! and i use a 175 4FRNT TURBO, at 104 underfoot... great quiver ski!!! so a JJ at 175 would be really good, just a little wider... i like the 104-107 underfoot cus for us light weight people, it floats just fine, and we get a much more nimble ski
