Much like the s7, the team riders are using versions with metal layers for stability. Just because the ski has the same topsheet in the pictures and videos, doesnt mean its the same ski you can just go buy off the wall.
yah so um... i was just trying to show people the TSP cas it shows up in the first page and some people might be interested since it is a big mountain ski like the aka jj.....good try though douche
If anyone is interested in the original topic anymore, i skied the JJ AK on monday. I didn't get a chance to ski any pow but did ski some crud and super fast groomers. I'm 180 lbs and they fully supported my on anything, unlike the regular JJ. These skis are awesome and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who thought the JJ was a little too soft/short. These skis didn't feel huge and they're relatively light (keep in mind I ski 195 Motherships, so it's hard for anything to be heavier than that). Probably one of the most fun feeling skis I've been on in a while.
This is exactly what I am hoping for. I think metal laminates would be out of place on a ski such as the JJ, regardless of the length. As far as the dimensions, and sidecut radius, it will be nice to have them be a bit more stable on harder snow and not wanting to turn all of the time.
I am very curious about these skis, and can't wait to see some in person.
I don't know if anyone has answered this yet, but they do not have metal in them. The skis are definitely beefier, but it is not due to adding metal to the construction.
