yeaa the ADD/ADHA. haha. But back to skiing carinthia is looking sweet everyone! there just added some new features in gulch. Nitro is being built as we speak, THIS WEEKEND IS LOOKING DOPE!!

The plan for next weekend is to have nitro fully open as the set up would regularly during the season ( meaning jumps, rails, jibs,bonks,etc....). Then they will be closing Gulch to start a re-build to get it up to its regular sized features for the season. And for anyone questioning that Inferno will not be as good this year due to the Dew Tour not returning, have no worries. It will be just as good if not better. Carinthia Park Crew is on top of it. If you have seen footage of their private park shoot at the end of the year in the Meat Heads film or Gold project you can see how dope the features were they set up! get stoakeddd!!!!!

here is the latest post on the CARINTHIA PARKS website.

"Starting tomorrow Nitro and Titanium will be closed until Friday.  The park crew will be in there pushing snow around for three days, trying to get it ready to open on Friday with full size features.  That means jumps.  Grommet should also be open with XS features.  Prospector and Junkyard should be open too, maybe with features.  It depends on snow making.  Mineshaft, Inferno and Gulch will stay as is for a little while until we tear them down and build them up to normal size."

So what's next?  Obviously Prospector will be on the plate for our rangers but now that Nitro is open we'll shift back over to making some more snow on the Gulch and Mineshaft early next week for a rebuild.  The Pipe is solid and our hopes if Mother Nature continues her good graces would be a Christmas Day Opening.  Like a really big present. "'

Was anyone up there today? I wanted to know if the jumps are still gonna be open for tomorrow, because I just saw that it rained and I didn't want to drive all the way up there and not be able to hit jumps

I was not up there but i would be willing to say 98 percent sure that they will be open and the rain didnt do that much, they have ALOT of snow and a really good base.

so on the lift today my buddy and I rode up with an ambassador, she said it was her job to ask riders of the park how they could better address safety issues especially involving non park riders who tear through the park with reckless abandon. I thought it was good that Mt Snow clearly sees a safety issue with what goes down on Nitro.

Yea man Carinthia/ Mount Snow really cares about all aspects of their mountain and riders/skiers including park.You dont find that at many other mountains. On another note the Gulch is being re-built as we speak and the park crew is hoping to have Gulch up and fully set up with Gulchs normal sized features by this Wednesday. Get stoaked Carinthias park cew is blowing every where else on the east coast out of the water!!!!!

i did mention that to her because some mountains i ride at do that, but i think it would be really difficult at Snow because its so large scale. I was thinking more along the lines of safety netting that would keep people out of the jump line.

random thought... How sick would it be to have night skiing on nitro? The cost and manpower would be to high? or not a big enough demand?

night skiing on the trail the lift follows would be a better idea. it would cater to a lot more people. althought they would have to run the quad as oppseed to the double for nitro
