yellowBird is going to change everything...well, some things, at least. This Dutch startup has taken up where Immersive Media failed so miserably. If you remember, Immersive Media was the original company behind Google StreetView, but lost the contract with the big G. They had a 360 degree video camera as far back as 2004, but they failed to create a demand for their content. Today, yellowBird is free from the demands of camera development, using Ladybug 2 &3 cameras, and is focused on solving issues around production and distribution of 360 video. They're revolutionary flash video player has been accepted by Google into YouTube for the Doritos Late Night campaign with Professor Green's "Coming to Get Me", a song written specifically for the video which was conceived for the 360 degree format. Click on any lift or run, and experience it for youself. SlopeViews is a Colorado-based start up of backcountry snowboarders, climbing guides, and media pros, some from the now defunct Immersive Media, that build unique web experiences for clients.
