MHSSC vs. Windells

We all obviously know that Windells is superior, but if you all were given the choice between 2 sessions at mhssc or 1 session at Windells, which would you take? And which place would you most likely learn more?

Decker is such a great coach and from the looks of this thread, there are going to be a lot more people going to MHSSC this year, which isn't a bad thing by any means. I can't wait until I go back this summer, I'm going to sessions 4 - 7. I'll be working there. What sessions are you guys going to?

So hyped everyone is stoked on Camp! To clear some stuff up, The trampoline is 100% better than when the kid got hurt a few years ago, I personally have worked alot on it.All of our actual campers can tell you camp is fun, all of us coaches try as hard as we can to teach every kid as much as we can, and try to take as much input from campers on the park as we can. Its a more personal camp in my opinion and most kids always come back. Ill be there all summer, throwing rocks and pushing kids over........

Haha, this is so fucking awesome! I thought I was going to get flamed up the asshole for backing up MHSSC, but it's so cool to see so much stoke for it.

As to the tramps, yes, that was a big issue last year, but now, from what I've heard, the camp has all their shit in order and they got their act together.

In terms of the sketchiness of things, it's weird because most of the sketchy things at that camp won't do too much harm and are just sketchy enough to be funny and make a hilarious story. Like, that crazy dude someone was talking about? Man, that just sounds straight up funny as shit. Another example was a few years ago when one of the buses (TWO TONE!) broke down going up to the hill one day. Yeah, it was a bit scary getting the van up there on it's last bit of life, but it made it and the camp subsequently ghost rode it back down the mountain and we had a makeshift memorial for it later that night, which included eulogies and everything. It was the shit.

Also, Stu, Nolan, Malone, and Decker are THE shit. So, word to the posters above.

MHSSSc is legit, met so many awesome people. Hopefully, even though i have yet to hear back I will be getting a job and being out there alot of the summer. If not, ill be there for sesssions 4 and 5

Uhhhh sorry I just know momentum, windells and coc. Does MHSSC stand for mt. Hood summer ski camp and if so what's the website? I wanna go to windells but I don't have the money and I've had 7 years of bad luck trying to get out there.

only thing i gotta say about MHSSC is that it doesn't seem like they have very much rail-wise. every video i see it just seems like a few rails but that can't be true if MHSSC is so good. anybody know how many rails the public park & mhssc have combined?

i liked MHSSC cause when we camped in the woods and tried to shred public park they let us skate and tramp and kick it with them for free. The kids there were a little strange... not gonna lie, but nice nevertheless. I've tried just driving to Windells and shredding their epic skateparks and swiftly have been forced to leave. i don't have $2000 cause im not rich. sorry. they should have a discount oregonion only camp. that would be the shit.

We have a few rails, and and a bunch of boxes, the dopest down rail on the mountain and our tall flat bar is really ill too its in alot of edits.

If i end up going should I stay on sight or at the govy camp rooms. Can i still do after-ski activities like skateboarding and windsurfing if i stay at the govy camp?

Depends how old you are, if your like 16,17 and up you would probably like staying in govy better.
Yes you still do all activities, meals etc with camp at the camp lodges, you just get driven into govy for the night.

MHSSC is the sickest camp on hood and i can say that is the best tramp that i have ever been on, so legit. I've also heard that that windells is way stricter about everything then mhssc is i will hopefully be going back there this summer definetely some of the funnest weeks of my life if you have the opportunity go to MHSSC don't let windells advertising fool mhssc is way sicker then windells

there is normal camp that week also, most campers aty at camp not govy, I think being a campt AT CAMP would most likely be more fun.

I would stay at camp. i feel like golden poles kids arnt even like a part of the camp. If you want to have fun running around and shenanigans, stay at camp. Almost no girls stay at golden poles

What camps better if ur a good skier but is new to freestyle? Basically, which camp will you learn more at? Ive heard windells isnt great for new kids and is pretty much for child prodigys. Im 16 and can 5, 3, switch 3, and most rails and eanything lower that that so which camps better, or should i even bother going?

I've never been to windells but i've heard it isn't as good if you're not crazy good but i can tell you that you will for sure have a lot of fun at mhssc and you will learn alot definetly worth going in my opinion
