Western Oregon University?

im thinking of goin there and if anyone on NS goes to WOU or has a friend that goes there, how do you like it? is there anything you can tell about WOU from a students view?

from what ive heard, there is literally nothing to do in monmouth but sit home and smoke bud. small ass town with very few people and asshole cops.

however, i know nothing about the academics there or anything like that hah. im just talking about what friends who go there say about the town and people.

Monmouth is a rough, you might as well go to OSU, it's like 20 min away and has a pretty good ski/snowboard community, not that corvallis is a ton of fun either, it's well located though, the beach is pretty close and the mountains are within 3 hrs

I'm sure you aren't looking for suggestions, but I have one for you, and I hope you don't mind.

If you don't have to be in Oregon, I would take a look at Western Washington Uni. NS seems to be pretty well repped there, and everyone I have talked to seems to love it. It isn't a big school and it's pretty close to some very legit. skiing.

Good luck in  your search. I was in the same situation but in Maine. I went with the smaller school and my only regret is that it has so few majors.

the whole area sucks balls. i live in salem, school is good everything else is lame as fuck. there is nothing to do. EVER! i moved to Government Camp this year to shred alot.

My friends bother (snowboarder) dropped out of WOU and moved to govy so he could ride year round. he said it was also super boring there and there is nothing to do , other than a few crappy skateparks.
