Today we are launching a liner specifically designed for ski touring and for those strong willed holdouts who still telemark. Named by IMFGA guide Dan Corn after the Grand Fuckin' Teton, the GFT retains the DNA of a ZipFit while adding points of articulation on the front and a flex panel on the back to make skinning more comfortable. The liners have a range of motion that reflects modern AT boot design (~50º) and while they were designed with the Tecnica Zero G in mind, they work well with everything from the Dalbello Quantam Free to the Full Tilt Ascendant to the Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD 130.
The GFT has the least amount of cork composite fill in our fleet of liners, as adding more cork is very straightforward and we wanted to make a liner that would be a solution for as many skiers as possible. I have done trial videos of stepping into a number of ski boot shells with the GFT liner, they are in the highlights section of our instagram -- https://www.instagram.com/zipfit/
Pre-sale of the GFT is live today and with every purchase, we'll donate 5% to the Friends of CAIC, the non-profit arm of the Colorado Avalanche Information Center. Liners are currently in production in Italy and will ship in December.
We can't thank the Newschoolers community enough for adopting our brand, reaching out with questions, and being open to a different type of ski boot liner. We are here and listening, hit us up with your ideas and questions. Feedback is always welcome.
