Big Air has now reached levels of rotation that almost nobody can even conceive of trying. It is, however, one hell of a show. Fabian Boesch missed finals by one spot, so the quad 1920 didn't make an appearance, but there were a smattering of 18s and triple 14s were the minimum standard. Christian Nummedal even caught an edge hard taking off switch and still managed to stomp perfectly at dub 12. A couple of runs later he went down hard on a right triple 16, ragdolled, but somehow walked off the slope after a short medical break. Hopefully he didn't do himself any damage. Ultimately, it was Birk Ruud who took gold, defending his title from X Games Norway. He's quickly establishing himself as the guy to beat in Big Air.
