As many people may or may not know, Copper has recently teamed up with Woodward to bring the ski and snowboard community an entirely new epicenter of fun…
Whether its summer, spring, winter or fall, you can now ride in Colorado in a relatively risk-free scenario. While some may disagree with the word “training” in conjunction with skiing, you can certainly find some form of it here in The Barn at Copper. And if you disagree with the word training, then there is certainly some serious loads of fun to be had. There’s not many places in the world where you can find an indoor facility that has six trampolines, a mini ramp, a skate bowl, rails, and jumps into foam pits. Pretty much this place is an action sports enthusiast’s dream come true….
Just to the right of these four world-class trampolines is another set of two. I personally love jumping from tramp to tramp…
Not only do they have six of the best trampolines money can by, but three of them go right into a giant foam pit. You can literally land right on your head and not even worry about it. Never were triple flips this easy…
In addition, the Woodward staff (including the likes of Jon Reedy) has recently found how fun it is to stack up pads on the edge of the foam pit to jump over. Jon was boosting 15+ feet over a wall of pads the other day…
I personally am rather awful at skating, but check out this bowl! Notice the elevated mini-ramp in the distance…
Here’s the second of the two foam pits in The Barn. Once you learn your tricks off the trampolines you can take it to your skis or snowboard…
Here’s a bird’s-eye-view of the facility. The center jump is perfect for learning rodeos…
Here’s a nice little rail line into a quarterpipe/stall feature. I haven’t hit these yet but they look pretty fun. Also, if you don’t think this rail line is something you’re into, the good news is that Copper is going to be farming all its snow upon its close to set up a rail and jump line through the end of July. Being a summer resident of Colorado I’m rather excited about this news…
I would highly advise anyone who is in the area to stop by and check this place out. It’s pretty amazing and relatively cheap to spend a few hours here…
