Windells Academy has kicked off the 2012 Fall Semester with 23 excited students, an amazing staff and a private park atop beautiful Mount Hood. While the rest of the country patiently waits for snowfall, Windells Academy students are getting a head start on their season by enjoying the only snowpark in North America during the months of September and October.

With almost a dozen features, a 30-foot jump, a 65-foot step over and a rope tow, Academy students are taking countless laps with their coaches before class even begins for the day. Athletes such as Nick Geopper, Sammy Carlson, James 'Woodsy' Woods and the Canadian Slopestyle Ski Team are sharing the snow with the students this week, taking advantage of the 1200-foot long park that Windells Academy and Timberline Lodge have created.

As high schools across the nation are reopening their doors, Academy students are experiencing a unique alternative to the normal routine alongside some of the top names in skiing. Temperatures are beginning to drop as the cold seasons approach, but for these students, the best part of winter is already here at Windells Academy.
