As if you need another reason to get out to Breckenridge, get ready for a crazy party there celebrating Ullr, the Norse god of winter.  The Ullr Fest will run from Sunday, January 9th to Saturday, January 15th.  And this year with record early season snowfalls, there is all the more reason to celebrate.  I don’t know if it says anywhere in Norse mythology about how Ullr liked to party, but that is how skiers and snowboarders around the world have chosen to celebrate the mythical god of snow, and no one does it better than Breckenridge.  There will be a skating party, pub crawl, Nordic party & bonfire, body art ball, the Ullympics (a must see, crazy competitions for prizes), Breck Ascent Race, Dating Game, Comedy Night and a huge parade down Main Street with floats and people dressed like Vikings.  So get out your horned Viking helmet (if you don’t have one, ask a Minnesota Vikings football fan, they won’t be needing them for a while, or you can download one here!) and a nice faux bear pelt and get your party on with the locals.  Be sure to check out the schedule and all the details at http://www.gobreck.com
