The Tokyo Snow and Ice event consisted of one hip jump in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo. Athletes from Japan, Korea, and America threw down tricks to impress spectators and display what freeskiing is all about.
The hip was 30 feet tall and sent skiers flying through the air over a Mini Cooper. Tokyo style.
The steep 60 foot tall drop in ramp didn't cause young riders to hesitate from hitting the beastly hip.

The event consisted of three heats per day for two consecutive days. The night heats drew a larger crowd.

Big back from little Yamamoto!
The stoked competitors after their final heat.
The exhibition was a great success. Multiple TV stations broadcasted the event and freeskiing got a good amount of publicity in Japan. Everyone had a great time and the vibe was good! Hopefully more events like this will happen in Japan in the future.
