The
Copper Mountain ski resort in Colorado knows how to ring in the Thanksgiving
holiday with style. On Friday, November 27th, (the day after turkey day)
they're hosting the 8th annual Leftover Yam Jam. It's a free, open rail jam in
the Eagle Jib Park.
Then
on Saturday the 28th, put on your running shoes and race a 5K. The Gobbler
Chase Snowshoe Race is not only a race, but also a canned food drive,
benefitting a bunch of local nonprofits. Once the race is done, enjoy En Fuego,
a nighttime event featuring a skydiving Santa, a torchlight parade, bonfires,
fireworks and more!
If
that weren't enough, a new 22 foot Superpipe is opening up over the Thanksgiving
weekend too! Watch it in action during the USSA Grand Prix on NBC, Sunday
December 13th at 2PM Eastern. The event actually takes place December 11-12 if
you want to see it in person.
Rock
on Copper Mountain!
