Mount Snow announced Christmas morning that the superpipe will open up December 30, 2009.  This will be the earliest opening of the superpipe in 3 years and will be the first pipe in the east open and one of only a handful in the country. 

Carinthia, ranked the #1 Park in the East by Transworld Magazine and SKI Magazine now has 6 parks open with over 50 features.

The pipe located directly in front of the Carinthia Base Lodge will open up with 16' walls and be about 400 in length.  The pipe will be open through Martin Luther King Weekend.  After MLK the pipe will close and get a facelift for the Dew Tour Finals & the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals which roll into town February 4-6, 2010.  The pipe will then be open for the remainder of the season. 

Carinthia's pipe is also home to the first stop of the USSA Revolution Tour in January and home to the Mount Snow Freeski Open - March 20-21, 2010.  The third annual Freeski Open event will feature the largest cash purse yet with $7500 up for grabs in pipe and slopestyle events.
