On Friday 20 November the Hamre lift & Hamrebacken piste in Duved will open

In addition to Hamreliften with the Hamrebacken piste that open for the season also Torpliften with Torpbacken will be open from Friday until Sunday. In Hamrebacken we are adding a minor line with rails and boxes and SkiStar will be treating all children to hot dogs and lemonade during the weekend.

-The seasonal opening this weekend has been made possible through the substantial investments we have made in snow-making systems. We have invested heavily in automated systems which enable snow production at borderline temperatures, says Anders Aspholm, Operations Manager, SkiStar Åre.

The snow blanketing in the rest of the ski area has progressed well during the chilly spells with top priority on the Störtloppet and Gästrappet pistes considering the upcoming Audi FIS Ski World Cup races during the Lucia weekend, on 12 – 13 December.

Opening hours;

Hamreliften with Hamrebacken Friday 20/11 until further notice 09.00-15.30

Torpliften with Torpbacken Friday 20/11 until Sunday 22/11, 09.00-15.30

During the weekend both cafés Hamrestugan and Linbanecafét will be open.

SkiPass sales;

Skistarshop Kabin, open 10.00-15.00

Skistarshop Duved, open 08.30-15.30

Skistarshop Holiday, open 10.00-17.00
