When Travis Rice's Natural Selection Tour was announced four years ago, the ski community could only watch on with envious eyes. A backcountry invitational with pre-built features, a head-to-head format and legends of the game was something we knew we'd love. We clamoured and furiously typed the forums and it's finally happened! Natural Selection Tour goes to Alaska and it's bringing skiers with it.
Mike Douglas, ski legend and Event Director says Alaska is to skiing with the North Shore of Oahu is to surfing, "it's the ultimate, all-natural proving grounds."
The Advisory Committee for NST has a few names you may have heard of before... Chris Benchetler, Markus Eder, Candide Thovex, Michelle Parker and Kristi Leskinen... this collective list has forgotten more about backcountry freestyle than we'll ever know. These legends were in charge of narrowing down an undeniably huge list of potential riders, now that's it's all shaken out we have a list of 8 men and 4 women taking on the spines of AK in skiing debut at the Natural Selection Tour!

WOW, every single name on that list is a heater. I'm stoked to see P White in there as much as anything, but the blend of styles we are going to get to witness is going to buck to say the least.
