Early reports are reaching us that legendary Chamonix skier, and big mountain legend, Tof Henry has passed away in Chile on the Puntiagudo volcano. Tof was as gnarly as they come, skiing some of the biggest, most challenging lines out there. His shots from Chamonix will define the resort and its terrain for years to come. Exposed lines, charged at high speed were his bread and butter and having skied with him (a LONG way behind him) in Cham ourselves, we were awed by what he could do on a pair of skis. His legend will live on. His name has always been whispered around town, accompanied by tales of what he had just skied, provoking disbelief among locals. It often felt like rumor, but always turned out to be true. His loss is a tragic one for the town and for the ski community as a whole. Our thoughts go out to his friends and relatives. Ski In Peace, Tof.

"A fatal accident occurred on Wednesday in the Los Lagos region, where two people died on the summit of the Puntiagudo volcano.
The presidential delegate for the province of Osorno, Claudia Pailalef, confirmed the unfortunate event to Radio Bío Bío, also informing that a third person was injured.
Teams from Senapred, Socorro Andino and Carabineros from the Prefectura Aeropolicial Llanquihue are looking for suitable places to transfer the people who lost their lives in this accident, and to transfer the injured person to a medical centre.
So far, it is reported that the victims are two tourists: a Chilean and a French national, who came to the area to climb the massif. For reasons that are being investigated, they fell off a cliff and both died."
