Quiksilver Announces North American ‘Few Words' Premiere Tour

The Highly Anticipated Candide Thovex Ski Film

Verbier, SUI – November 8, 2012 - 'Few Words', the highly anticipated feature-length film documenting Candide Thovex, one of freeskiing’s unrivaled legends, is set to embark on a four-stop North American Premiere Tour. The tour hosted by Quiksilver, Faction Skis and Candide himself will kick off in Toronto and follow with screenings in Boulder, Salt Lake City and Whistler.

About Quiksilver’s Few Words: Few words is the story of Candide Thovex, a pioneer of modern skiing, who is currently one of the most successful and talented skiers in the world. Thovex is a three-time X-Game gold medalist, Freeride World Champion and freeskiing legend. The film takes you on a journey to discover the most beautiful snow locations while criss-crossing the globe for the past two years and showcasing shoot some of freeskiing’s most sensational sequences. Interviews with Thovex document his career and the rise and changes freeskiing. Few Words will help you discover, or rediscover, one of the most respected personalities of the mountain world.

Directed by Matt Pain of Process films, renowned for his previous work in mountain-cinematography and history in design and 3D animation, ‘Few Words’ exhibits a fresh angle in documenting Candide’s career, character and impact. Working with the RED Epic Pain, Candide shot over 29 terabytes of imagery in the last two years to bring the film to life.
