Recent snowfalls and cold mountain conditions may see CairnGorm Mountain open for winter snowsports this weekend - Saturday 1st December 2007.
Conditions are looking hopeful in the Ptarmigan Bowl and temperatures are remaining cold. If these conditions continue and the maintenance programme on the railway proceeds as plannedweek, CairnGorm Mountain is hoping to open for snowsports this Saturday 1st December.
Snow sports will of course be subject to all the usual caveats - weather and conditions permitting. Lifts that are likley to operate will include the Ptarmigan Ski Tow along with the Mountain Railway. Conditions today (Monday 26th Nov) do not permit skiing from top to bottom of the railway but there may be some good sport to be had on the top slopes.
