Powder Magazine announced today the nominees for the 15th Annual Powder Awards celebrating the best in cinematography, photography, and athletic achievement. A judging panel that included the POWDER staff, ski-industry veterans, photographers, filmmakers, and ski-film savants reviewed 30-plus entries to determine who will be the winners at the December 5 show at The Depot in Salt Lake City, UT.
Highlighting the best ski films and athletes of the year, the event also showcases readers' favorite skiers with the annual Powder Poll. A limited number of invitations are available at PowderAwards.com for a $14 donation that directly benefits the High Fives Foundation. Viewers can also tune into the live webcast at 8:00 PM MST on PowderAwards.com.
One of the biggest nights in skiing, the Powder Awards plays host to professional skiers, ski legends, ski film production crews, industry brands, national media, and celebrities. Celebrating 15 years, the Powder Awards is the longest running awards shows in the sport and this year's event will feature winners from seasons past as far back as 2001 as guest presenters including the likes of Aaron McGovern, Kent Kreitler, Ian McIntosh, Pep Fujas, and Kim Reichelm. Mixing notable past winners with today's leaders of the sport will create one of the most seminal ski celebrations of the year.
