Big claim huh? Well we've been hinting at some big news relating to Newschoolers and competition skiing for a while now and here it is: The Enthusiast Network, Newschoolers' parent company and Mountain Dew have announced a strategic partnership for the Dew Tour from 2016 onwards. So what does that mean?
Well essentially it means that NS will be in the driving seat for a complete shake up of the skiing side of Dew Tour's Winter stop. We'll be working alongside our snowboard partners Transworld Snowboarding and Snowboarder Mag to bring a totally new look Dew Tour in 2016. Details are far from finalised but there will be three brand new events in place of what we and Mountain Dew agree are increasingly stale Halfpipe, Slopestyle and Big Air contests. In the words of Doug "the big thing here is that we're not just talking shit on the current contest scene - we're doing something about it."
